BEWARE of this retailer!!!
BEWARE of this retailer!!! The one thing worse than their poorly made clothes is their ridiculous business practice and horrendous customer service where in my experience, they accuse and ignore their customers.
I purchased a pair of pants from Pixie Market and returned it immediately because it didn't fit. I didn't hear from them for several days despite knowing they had received my return bc I checked the tracking number. Only when I reached out, did they respond to let me know that they were refusing to refund my return and accused me of damaging the item. Needless to say, I was shocked and appalled. A few things:
1) I barely had that pair of pants on for 5 minutes before I packed it into a padded envelope to return the item. As a sensible customer who has shopped thousands of times online, why would I damage something I was returning?
2) Instead of contacting me immediately to inform me of the issue, I did not hear from them about it at all until I checked in.
3) When I asked if they could be certain that they did not send me a defective item in the first place, I never heard back. They simply chose not to respond and it has been 7 days now. Surely someone works there and thinks it's good practice to respond to a customer that you've taken money from in a timely manner.
4) Upon doing some quick research of their business, I found reviews on trustpilot and on other sites that this is not the first time Pixie Market has accused a customer and refusing a refund. I find this incredibly shady.
5)When I asked for a description of the damage and to speak with someone on the phone, no one responded.
I find it shocking that any business (much less an online only retailer) would insist that customers are returning damaged/used items, instead of extending the courtesy to their customers that perhaps a defective item was shipped in the first place or perhaps the damage was caused by their own staff when unpacking/restocking the returned item.
In addition to this, the fact that they just stopped responding to me when I asked questions and to speak with someone just demonstrates an utter lack of consideration or respect for their customers. I have never been treated so poorly by any retailer before and not been given the benefit of doubt that the damage might have been caused on their end. In my opinion, Pixie Market is clearly a retailer that doesn't care about their customers and is only concerned about the quick sell. In today's competitive retail landscape, it will be only a matter of time before they fail.
I will also be reporting this to the appropriate bureaus.
